Dnes jsme měli možnost vidět v Brně poprvé novou slovenskou společnost Air Explore, která provozuje jeden Boeing 737-400, imatrikulace OM-AEX.

Několik hezkých večerních a nočních bizjetů, například estonský Learjet 31, holandská Cessna 650 společnosti Solid Air nebo francouzský Raytheon 390 Premier. Na letišti také přenocoval nepříliš vídaný vrtulník Kawasaki BK 117 s ukrajinskou registrací UR-PTV. Je nutno říci, že po delším deštivém období počasí připravilo krásný dárek v podobě neuveřitelně modré oblohy.
A couple of evening and night shots of bizjets such as Estonian Learjet 31, Dutch Cessna 650 operated by Solid Air or French Raytheon 390 Permier. In addition, quite unusual helicopter type - Kawasaki BK 117 - was parked at the airport. This Ukraine-registered copter made an overnight stop at Turany. I must also say that a long period of pouring rain was now redeemed by an unbelievably blue and clear sky, creating fantastic conditions for photographing.
Navzdory opravdu špatnému počasí jsem prostě musel vyfotit novinku brazilského výrobce letadel - malé tryskové letadlo Phenom 100. Přidávám také dvě fotky večerního odletu Airbusu 320 TVS, tentokrát mířícího do řecké Chanie.
In spite of the truly bad weather I grabbed my camera and took several pics of a new type developed by Brasilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer - Phenom 100 which is sometimes refered to as very light jet. I also photographed the usual Latvian Airbus 320, this time heading for Chania, Greece.

Dnes nás navštívil An-124 společnosti Maximus Air Cargo, která je dobře známá, protože před dvěma lety do Brna létala s Iljušiny 76 a Airbusy 300. Ruslan s imatrikulací UR-ZYD, mimochodem jediný ve flotile této firmy, se zde však objevil poprvé.
We experienced an An-124 Ruslan visit today. It was a plane operated by a well-known Maximus Air Cargo company which used to be a frequent visitor with its IL-76s and A300s in the past. However this was the first visit of Maximus Ruslan to Brno, by the way the only An-124 in their fleet.

Přílet netradičního Iljušinu 76 gruzínské společnosti Sky Georgia, který původně směřoval do Pardubic. Tamní letiště bylo však v době uskutečnění letu uzavřeno z důvodu prací na dráze.
I captured a morning arrival of a rather unusual Sky Georgia Ilyushin 76. The flight was originally scheduled to Pardubice airport. It was subsequently rerouted to Brno since LKPD had been closed due to maintenance of rwy lights.
Za krásného šedivého počasí přiletěl ještě krásnější a ještě šedivější Vickers VC10 Royal Air Force, tentokrát trupového čísla XV101, tedy stroj, který byl v Brně poprvé. Po hodině stání na letišti a vyřízení nezbytných formalit se skvělým hrměním svých motorů RR Conway rozloučil s Brnem a odlétl zpět do Anglie.
In this day's nice and grey weather yet greyer and nicer RAF Vickers VC10 made a visit to our airport. It was XV101 registration mark which was an aircraft that had never been to Brno before. After an hour-long stop used for sorting out usual formalities the plane took off and the awesome roar of its RR Conway engines said goodbye to Brno.

Dnes přilétl první z tradičních jarních letadel Royal Air Force. Jednalo se o nesmrtelný a dechberoucí stroj Vickers VC10. Mašina trupového čísla XV106, vyrobená v roce 1967, nejprve přelétla ukázkově VOR BNO a poté přistála na dráhu 28.
Today we experienced the first of traditional spring Royal Air Force visits - the immortal and breathtaking Vickers VC10 (XV106 registration mark). The aircraft which was built in 1967 first overflew BNO VOR and subsequently landed on runway 28.

Dnes se v Brně vůbec poprvé ukázal Boeing 767. Jednalo se o stroj společnosti Travel Service na letu z Las Palmas. Za zmínku stojí netradiční (pouze dvojpísmenný) volací znak letadla - Quebec Sierra 303 namísto obvykle používaného Skytravel.
The first ever visit of a Boeing 767 to Brno. It was a plane operated by Travel Service on a charter flight from Las Palmas. Its pilots were using quite unusual two-letter callsign - Quebec Sierra 303 instead of "Skytravel" which is a dedicated Travel Service callsign.
Dnes došlo k diverzi letu OK181 na trase Almaty-Praha z důvodu postupného uzavření celého českého vzdušeného prostoru kvůli vulkanickému popelu zanesenému nad naše území. Posledním pohybem většího letadla v Brně před uzavřením celého FIR LKAA byla Cessna 525 rakouské firmy JetAlliance provádějící výcvikové lety.
Today we experienced a diversion of Czech Airlines flight OK181 enroute Almaty - Prague due to gradual closure of Czech airspace caused by volcanic ash spreading over our country. The very last movement of a relatively big plane before complete closure of Prague FIR was a JetAlliance Cessna 525 making training flights.
Na letu tureckého Onur Airu byl dnes místo Airbusu A321 nasazen poněkud menší A320. Za povšimnutí stojí, že stroj s registrací TC-OBD nese na trupu nápis jednoho dosti známého ruského výrobce antivirového softwaru :-).
Unlike both previous Onur Air flights which were operated by an Airbus A321 today's rotation brought a change as a slightly smaller A320 was used. It's worth noting that the plane bears a sticker promoting a well-known Russian computer security company.

Common Atlant-Soyuz plane captured when vacating runway 10 after landing. This is by and large rather a rare sight considering Russian pilots usually prefer runway 28 even with a tailwind component.
Návštěva běloruského Iljušinu společnosti TransAviaExport, která je mimochodem v současnosti největším civilním provozovatelem 76tek. Tento stroj Brno navštivil již v červenci minulého roku. Od té doby na něm přibyla nálepka ALCI - Atlantic Logistic Centre International, která svědčí o tom, že letadlo je mimo jiné používáno pro zásobovací lety antarktických vědeckých základen.
Visit of a Belorussian Ilyushin operated by TransAviaExport Airlines which is by the way the largest civilian operator of IL-76s. This plane has already been seen at Brno in July last year. Since then the ALCI - Atlantic Logistic Centre International sticker has been added. It is evidence that this aircraft is also used for logistic support for Antarctica scientific bases.
Přílet Boeingu 737 ČSA. Na letadle je dobře patrno, že bylo ještě nedávno pronajato u slovenské společnosti Danube Wings, především dle zřetelných stop po nálepkách v přední části. Chvíli před příletem tohoto letadla odlétl tradiční Ryanair do Londýna.
The arrival of Czech Airlines Boeing 737. It is well recognizable that this particular aircraft has been recently wet-leased to Danube Wings, a Slovak carrier. There are distinct marks of sticker application still visible on the front part of the fuselage. Shortly before its arrival, Ryanair plane departed for London-Stansted.
Přílet prvního z plánovaných letů turecké společnosti Onur Air do Brna, na kterém byl nasazen Airbus 321 TC-OAF. Zároveň se jednalo o vůbec první návštěvu tohoto dopravce v Brně. Stroj přilétl po sedmé hodině ráno prázdný s Istanbulu a následně pokračoval do Antalye.
The arrival of the first Onur Air flight to Brno was operated by Airbus 321 TC-OAF. It was also the first-ever visit of this Turkish carrier to Brno. The aircraft was ferried from Istanbul early in the morning and subsequently continued to Antalya as a charter flight.

Odlet dobře známého uzbeckého Iljušinu 76 těsně přes sněhovou přeháňkou, která se rychle přibližovala k letišti.

Třebaže letadla Ryanairu nejsou považována za příliš zajímavé návštěvníky, krásné počasí mne přesvědčilo k pořízení několika snímků.
Ryanair planes, albeit not considered rare visitors, are also worth photographing, especially when enjoying as favourable weather conditions as today.
Překvapivá návštěva Airbusu A319 společnosti easyJet, který do Brna divertoval z důvodu mlhy ve Vídni. Stroj letěl na lince EZY5355 z Londýna-Gatwick do Vídně.

Dnes se na letišti sešly dva nákladní Iljušiny 76. Jedním z nich byla mašina, která byla dříve provozována srbskou společností Kosmas Air pod registrací YU-AMI a která se již v březnu 2006 se objevila v Brně. Nyní je provozována ruskou firmou Volga-Dnepr Airlines. Druhým Iljušinem byl taktéž stroj z flotily Volga-Dnepr, a sice IL-76TD-90VD s novými motory Perm PS-90.
Two IL-76s met at the airport this day. The first, and probably the more interesting one, was an aircraft formerly operated by Kosmas Air, a Sebian carrier which ceased operations in May 2008. This unique bird previously registered as YU-AMI has already been seen at Brno airport in March 2006. It's currently operated by Volga-Dnepr Airlines under RA-76822 registration. The second Ilyushin, also a plane from Volga-Dnepr fleet, was IL-76TD-90VD version fitted with state-of-the-art Perm PS-90 engines.

Dnes se na letišti sešli dva belgičtí návštěvníci - na lince TNT přiletěl místo BAe 146 méně obvyklý Boeing 737. O kus dál, na střední stojánce, byl zaparkován Falcon 20 belgické armády trupového čísla CM-02.
Two Belgian visitors met at the airport in the morning - TNT Airways B737-300F operated the scheduled cargo flight instead of a usual BAe 146. A bit further on, the Belgian Air Force Falcon 20 was parked.
Vzlet C-17 U.S. Air Force, která svými výkonnými motory Pratt & Whitney PW2000 mimo jiné provedla efektivní úklid dráhy po krátké sněhové přeháňce.
U. S. Air Force C-17 seen on departure. During the take-off roll its powerful Pratt & Whitney PW2000 turbofans also performed an effective runway cleaning since a short snow shower had passed earlier this day.
Za hezkého dne přilétly v krátkém sledu dva Iljušiny IL-76 Uzbekistan Airways a v krátkém sledu také odlétly, první za hezkého odpoledního slunce, druhý asi o půl hodiny později.
On this nice sunny day, two Uzbekistan Ilyushins IL-76 arrived in sequence. They both departed in the afternoon, the first plane at about 03:30pm when the airport was nicely lit with mid-afternoon winter sun. The second one lifted off some half an hour later.
Další návštěva letadla U.S. Air Force, tentokrát mnohem obvyklejší C-17 Globemaster. Šedý stroj za "šedého" počasí je vskutku ideální kombinace. Při vzletu bylo možné pozorovat zajímavý efekt způsobený kapalinou proti námraze opouštějící povrch křídla.
Another visit of a U.S. Air Force plane, this time a far more usual C-17 Globemaster. Grey plane together with grey weather made it really very tricky! During the take-off, we saw an eyecatching effect caused by the anti-icing fluid leaving the wing sufrace.
Setkání dvou Boeingů 737-800 společnosti Atlant-Soyuz. Stroj v popředí byl nasazen na pravidelné lince z Moskvy zatímco v pozadí odpočívala mašina registrace VQ-BCH po dodávácím letu z Châteauroux. Stroj dříve létal s imatrikulací EI-CSZ u Ryanairu a nosil nápis "Arrivederci Alitalia". Několikrát byl k vidění v Brně, viz archivní foto níže.
In these photos you can see a meeting of two Atlant-Soyuz planes here in Brno. The plane in the foreground was operating scheduled flight from/to Moscow whereas the aircraft in the background (VQ-BCH) was patiently waiting for moving to its Moscow base having arrived few days ago on a delivery flight from Châteauroux, France. The plane was previously operated by Ryanair as EI-CSZ bearing its famous "Arrivederci Alitalia" inscription. We have seen this bird several times before as you can see in my file photo.
Brzy ráno přilétl za krásného světla Ijlušin 76 běloruské firmy TransAvia Export Airlines. Po naložení a nutném doplnění paliva pro žíznivé motory Solověv se ihned vydal na dalekou cestu.
Early in the glaringly sunny morning, a Belorussian Ilyushin IL-76 arrived. The plane set out for its long trip immediately after the cargo loading and jet fuel uplift for its thirsty Soloviev engines had been completed.
Dnes jsme zažili první návštěvu amerického nákladního letadla Lockheed C-5A Galaxy v Brně. Zážitek to byl netradiční. Posádka totiž několik minut před přistáním oznámila, že vyžadují stání na dráze, což znamená uzavření letiště pro přílety a zkrácení rwy pro vzlety. Když se řídící přesvědčili, že piloti si opravdu nedělají legraci, vyřešili situaci průletem C-5 nad dráhou, aby umožnili odlet Saabu ČSA a přílet a následný odlet B737 Ryanairu. Po konzultaci možnosti diverze se svým OPS piloti shledali, že na okolních letištích by se asi také nevšednímu požadavku pořádně divili a rozhodli se vyčkávat nad Brnem. Zhruba hodinu po prvním pokusu přistáli a zaparkovali na prahu dráhy 10.
After many and many An-124 visits, we had finally an opportunity to see its American counterpart, C-5 Galaxy. It was really a stunning experience as the crew advised just few minutes before their landing they're unable to vacate the runway under any cirumstances, which would have caused airport closure for all incoming traffic and TORA/TODA restrictions for departures. Once the ATC made sure the pilots were not just kidding, he asked them to perform a go-around allowing Czech Airlines and Ryanair plane to land and depart on-time. After discussing the possibility of diversion, the Galaxy crew gathered it wouldn' t be a solution since their request would be probably the same surprise for every airport and had decided to hold over Brno. About one hour after the first attempt, they finally landed and parked on threshold of rwy 10 where handling operations took place.
